Protective coatings
Growth
of
protective
coatings
for
improving
anticorrosion
and/or
mechanical
properties
of
metal
surfaces,
using
industrially
affordable
technologies
(chemical
vapor
deposition/pack-
cementation,
electrodeposition,
hot-dip
galvanizing,
ion
sputtering)
which
have
low
functional/maintenance cost and high productivity index.
Study
of
the
structure
and
performance
of
coatings
deposited
by
other
methods
(such
as
flame
spray,
high-velocity
oxy
fuel
spray,
detonation
gun
spray,
plasma
spray,
chemical
vapor
deposition
by
fluidized
bed,
cathodic
arc
physical
vapor
deposition)
in
collaboration
with
other
laboratories
from
Aristotle
University
and
research
centers
from
Greece
and
abroad.
The
characterization
of
the
developed
materials
is
accomplished
by
the
use
of
the
appropriate techniques, directly accessed in our lab.
