Οι
μέθοδοι
εφαρμόζονται
συνδυαστικά
ώστε
να
παρέχουν
τις
απαραίτητες πληροφορίες, όπως:

Χαρακτηρισμός
και
ταυτοποίηση
σύστασης
χρωστικών,
υποστρωμάτων
ζωγραφικής
και γεωλογικών δειγμάτων.
•
Σύσταση και θερμοκρασίες όπτησης κεραμικών.
•
Αναγνώριση είδους ινών και χρωμάτων που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν για τη βαφή αυτών.
•
Εκτίμηση κι αξιολόγηση ιδιοτήτων υλικών συντήρησης.
•
Χαρακτηρισμός
κι
εκτίμηση
κατάστασης
διατήρησης
χαρτών,
περγαμηνών
και
έργων
από δέρμα.
•
Εκτίμηση
επιφανειακής
μορφολογίας,
σύστασης
και
κατάστασης
διατήρησης
νομισμάτων και λοιπών μεταλλικών έργων.
Μελετούνται
διάφορες

έργων,
όπως
ζωγραφικά
έργα,
κεραμικά,
δομικοί/πολύτιμοι/ημιπολύτιμοι
